What cell types are compatible with the HTMP™ 192?

The HTMP™ 192 is compatible with a wide range of cell types including primary cells, stem cells, and cell lines.

It has been validated with hepatocytes and multiple cancer cell lines, and should function properly in any cell type that actively forms a 3D construct, spheroid, or organoid.

Is the plate compatible with automated liquid handling?

Yes. HTMP™ 192 is built on a standard 384-well pitch and is compatible with most automated liquid handling systems and high-content imaging platforms.

How many cells should be seeded into each microwell?

We recommend anywhere from 200 – 600 cells per microwell for most applications. This range is generally sufficient to generate microtissues with final diameter less than 250 µm, significantly reducing the likelihood of hypoxic gradients and necrotic core formation (Glicklis et al., Biotechnology & Bioengineering, 2003) (Däster & Amatruda et al., Oncotarget, 2016).

What are the plate dimensions?

The HTMP™ 192 measures approximately 127.76 x 85.48 x 14.75 mm, matching a standard SBS/ANSI/SLAS footprint for compatibility with existing lab equipment.

What is the thickness of the bottom of the plate?

Less than 700 µm.
